Flowers and fruits the table is set
China, nametags on our dinette
A time of sharing, being selfless
Love and caring in togetherness
A relative not seen in a year
Comes to visit and brings good cheer
Visiting with friends and family
Enjoying conversations so merrily
We’re thankful Lord to be gathered around
Another year, and we hope not snowbound
Children look forward to the snowflakes
But the older folks find it harder to break
When driving out in the cold, on icy roads
With other people making it a heavier load
We’ll have extra food if they do stay over
Thank you Lord for everything and even after
Remember to give daily thanks
for all our blessings
Have a wonderful and bountiful Thanksgiving!
