That
Night
It
must
have
been
on
such a
night
So
cloudless
and so
cold,
That
all
the
stars
bowed
in the
sky
Our
Savior's
birth
to
behold.
And
one
star
shining
brighter
Than
all
the
others
on
that
night,
Led
three
kings
from
far
away
To see
this
Holy
sight.
The
gifts
so
precious
that
they
brought
The
Infant
in the
stall
Were
nothing
compared
to
what
He
gave
To us
sinners,
one
and
all!
The
shepherds
watching
over
flocks
Were
brought
to
this
Holy
place
And
bowed down
to
worship
Him
As
they
saw
His
gentle
face.
Although
they
knew not
why He
came,
Nor
what
this
Child
would
do,
An
angel
brought
them
along
their
way
This
Child
for
them
to
view.
And as
the
barnyard
animals
gathered
'round
To
shield
Him
from
the
cold,
How
could
they
ever
understand
The
Child
they
would
behold?
Oh,
what a
wondrous
sight
they
saw
As
heaven's
angels
did
sing
Of the
miracle
that
appeared
that
night
And
the
Hope
that
He did
bring?
