~ The Actor ~
The moment has come for the curtain to fall.
When the actor disappears from the view of all.
The applause is silent and the stage is bare.
The theater is empty of all who were there.
Just minutes before it was a
different sight.
Laughter and applause broke the still of the night.
But all things must end and this is no exception.
Still, somehow, in this silence I feel rejection.
But as I sit on an empty
stage in a theater now tame,
I know the audience will return, but they won’t be the
same.
Different smiles, different laughs, but I’ll love them
too.
And again the curtain will fall when the play is
through.
