~ The King's Land ~

There is a faraway land,
where goodness prevails.
A kingdom so grand,
golden gates, visitor's detail.

Listening to stories of old,
visitors came back gratified.
After viewing the promised land,
relating how many were satisfied.

Tasks were assigned to many,
where worship and love came first.
All happy, content in the King's land,
as living waters quenched their thirst.

In this sparkling land of plenty,
was a King who ruled over His domain.
Serving with love, compassion,
His people rejoicing in His reign.

Heaven is the name given,
to this special place above.
Where a place is assured for us,
by a King who's well-thought-of.

Sins forgiven, the slate is clean,
Jesus died on a cross of wood.
Believe in Him and you will live,
in love, peace and brotherhood.
