~ The Mark ~
Pressing forward to the mark,
Leaving all I know behind;
Not looking back on what I knew,
Looking forward to all I'll find!
I will boldly answer now the call;
No hesitation and no shame.
For I've been called to serve the Lord!
Oh, Praise His Holy Name!
Though the path here won't come easy,
Sometimes the mountain will be steep,
I'll keep climbing ever higher;
My calling I will keep!
I will be listening to His voice,
His will alone I'll always seek!
And before I know that it has happened,
I'll have reached that mountain peak!
Then I'll look back on the valleys
That He with me, walked through,
Not leading me AROUND them,
But UP to that mountain view!
Then, I'll bow down before Him,
In awe of all the sights I see;
And PRAISE Him for the valleys
And walking through them all with me!
