~ The Thief On Jesus' Right ~

Two thousand years ago, Jesus died for all our sins
On each side of Him hung two thieves
who also were to die
The thief on the left did not believe
that The Lord Our God, was God,
He did not feel in his heart that very day
A man of miracles was giving all His love.

Now, the thief on the right,
listened to what Jesus had to say
He wondered how a man could forgive soldiers
who rolled dice for His robe (and never did they cry)
Jesus looked at the man with love,
It was then the thief turned to Jesus,
and asked forgiveness for all that he had done
Jesus said "You will be with Me in paradise"
That thief knew he was in the presence of The Lord
that for his sin, was crucified.

All of us are either, the thief on the left,
(who never saw the beauty God has made)
or, the thief on Jesus' right,
Who, in the presence of the King of Kings,
believed Jesus would forgive, so paradise he'd see
We have the choice God gave
to be on Jesus' left, remaining in our sin
or on His right, forgiven-
to walk in paradise with Him

So, make sure to make the right choice then
If we want to see our loved ones again,
Say a prayer to Jesus and remember why He died
For He's the One to help us through
It is only by the loving eyes of our Creator
we can see the ending of our lives
For our dream to come true

That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord
and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved.
