Time Changes Things
#7
(too fat)

Passing a storefront window
Walking through downtown
I saw a fat lady peering out
Looking me up and down

Every time I made a move
She was following me
I turned away and hoped she'd leave
Then I turned back just to see

Sure enough, there she was
Just staring right at me
I got so annoyed, I shook my fist
To protest her taunting me

Oh Lordie do have mercy, I said
That image I am viewing is me
So fat I didn't know myself
I must be a hundred ninety three

I gave myself a talking to
Ideas running through my head
I know I have to do a diet
Before they find me dead

Tomorrow I will find a diet
And put it to the test
I'll work really hard on it
But right now I need a rest

I'll stop right here for just a while
And rest and have a snack
Then I'll think on that diet some more
After fries, milkshake and my BIG MAC
