~ Today Is The Day ~
Today is the first day
of the rest of my life,
when I begin the day
with no strife.
Waking up and thanking
the Lord,
glad to know He's always
aboard.
Taking my Bible and
inspirational books.
I sit and absorb their
contents as I look.
Meditating and praying
to begin my day,
knowing I'm protected,
Jesus is the Way.
Going about my
activities cheerfully,
positive attitude, never
fearfully.
Setting my sights on God
above,
as He guides me in His
love.
Bringing contentment and
His peace,
it's all there, within
our reach.
In complete surrender to
His will,
my day is happy, I know
I'm His still.
