I have a precious husband
who wants to care for me,
Is that such a unique thing
For true love to be.
Not that it's all been roses
Far from it in fact,
For I have been so very ill
He could have turned his back.
But, he went to the Lord
And asked Him for the strength
To find the miracle of endurance
To ride another stretch.
We had so many questions
Why life should turn this way,
As we started out so robust
Back on our wedding day.
But God had His design
In taking of my health,
He, out of greater love
Showed us more of Himself.
Now, my precious husband
Works hard to bless my life,
Delighting in my heart
So thankful, God restored to him
his wife.
