~ Trying Again ~

Shadows of the nighttime
Evaporate in the morning sun
Gone are the sorrows of yesterday
A new day has just begun

God ushers in a new beginning
With a day so fresh and new
I want to live this day dear Lord
With a refreshing now from you

Forgiven for failings of yesterday
A new day, new beginning, I'll try again
To stay much closer to you Lord
By holding to your hand

I'll take your hand and hold on tight
I can't make it on my own
I believe your word when you said
I don't have to travel alone

Thank you for this brand new day
And freedom from all sin
I want to walk as Jesus did
Today I'm trying again
