~ Unto You Is Born ~

It's Christmas and we're longing
To have that inner smile
Yet, maybe we are really breaking down
And wondering all the while

How we will make it through
Survive this festive time
In the aching for relief
A touch of the divine

Everywhere we look
There overflows only lovely things
Decorations, tinsel
And bells that sweetly ring

But, here, inside our heart
Echoes a li'l sadder tone
Pain may have swept the hope away
And we're feeling all alone

Yet, there is the special miracle
Jesus came to meet our need
He wants to live within our heart
For all we long to be

If we ask, look on high
And turn to Him to find
Then in Him, we will be filled
The wonder for all time

When we somehow understand
That the Christmas gift is Him
His love the guarantee
We find that elusive peace within

As we put our every hope
In all He plans for us
There is never disappointment
For the Lord Jesus is Christmas
