I'm not worthy of a
splinter of that cross
Nor a thorn from the crown.
Not a nail that pierced that precious hand
Or a drop of blood from His brow.
I'm not worthy of a word He said
On that dark and glorious day.
"Father forgive them for what they do"!
And then He passed away!
I'm not worth the thirty pieces of gold
That took Him up that hill.
Nor the words I heard Him say:
"Father not Mine but it be Thy will."
I wasn't worth the cold dark tomb
Where He was quickly laid away.
My precious Lord and Savior
On that sad and lonely day!
I'm not worth the sacrifice
His perfect life has made
I'm not worth the victory
He made over the grave!
But He did it all for me
Gave His life and shed His Blood.
All to forgive me of my sins
All with His perfect, Blessed Love!
And He did it all for you,
Laid Himself upon the tree.
Shed His blood and gave His life
That day on Calvary.
