~ Upon My Heart ~

God laid words upon my heart
That I did not quite understand
But a small voice told me softly
That for me He designed a plan.

So I wrote them in an e-mail
And sent them off to all of you
And then I whispered softly, God
Now with me are You through?

But the Lord said child, no way
I need you to spread my love about
And let others know of my only Son
You'll spread His word within and out.

So, I'll continue with His words
As He lays them on my heart
I will tell you all about His Son
Til from this life one day I part.

And if at times you have doubts
Or you have a troublesome day
Get down on your knees my friend
And to God above just pray.

I pray my words may touch just one
That is lonesome or sad at heart
Because if I make just one smile
Dear Lord, I'll know I did my part.

So God, Bless all of my friends
No matter how near or how far
They are each your special angel
And they glow like a shining star.
