I will walk no more in shadows,
instead I will seek the light;
opening my eyes to the beauty
that lays hidden in the night.

I will throw off sorrow’s mantle,
and laugh like a child at play.
I will seek the treasures of life,
and run in the light of day.

I will give my heart to my lover,
for he sees the truth of my soul.
And you will no longer control me,
for I’ve given you all that I owe.

I will offer myself forgiveness,
for mistakes I have made in my life,
knowing the mountains I've climbed
are leading me back to the light.

And when my time comes to travel
Down the path to heaven above,
I will walk with joy in my heart,
for I’ll know in my life I had love.
