The Web Of Memories ~
Sitting on the front
porch,
as the sun was going
down
Was an every day
happening,
with the families all
around
Everyone was talking
to one or to the other
Or listening to a
childhood story
as told them by their
mother.
We just shared with
everyone
We all had something to
say
About the things that we
had done
in our ordinary day.
As the shadows began to
deepen
there by the bright moon
light
I saw a tiny spider
that filled me so with
fright.
Mom got my attention
then
and calmed me down a bit
Then told me how it spun
a web
and said 'now let's just
watch it'.
I began to see it
differently,
just a beautiful work of
art
The pretty threads the
spider spun
while working very hard.
It spun a fragile fancy
web
so round and so complete
It turned out so
beautifully
I thought 'Oh this is
pretty neat'.
I know God's work of art
is actually what I saw
Another of His little
creatures
keeping up His natural
law.
