They were simply
men and women
From homes like
yours or mine
Some trained in
special service
Hearts set as one
entwined.
Each one had a
mission
They knew what it
would take
To see their goals
completed
All fear they did
forsake.
They were
America’s Heroes
No thought of self
they gave
As we Remember 911
We salute our
beloved brave.
With selfless
dedication
They gave their
very best
We thank God for
every Hero
You stand tall
above the rest.
As we fly our flag
of freedom
I know within each
heart
A reminder of that
day
Will always light
a spark.
