What
I
Was
Missing
~
As
each
day
passes,
I
feel
so
empty
and
sad.
Why
do
I
feel
this
way?
I
really
should
be
glad.
My
home
is
so
lovely,
With
a
magnificent
view.
Out
front
is
my
car,
All
fancy
and
new.
The
inside
of
my
home
is
furnished,
With
the
most
beautiful
of
things.
I
have
all
the
newest
appliances,
Lots
of
fine
jewelry,
and
diamond
rings.
I
thought
that
I
had
everything,
I
thought
I
had
it
all.
Perhaps
I
missed
something,
I
had
better
drive
down
to
the
mall.
I
push
my
shopping
cart,
From
aisle
to
aisle.
When
it
is
filled
to
the
top,
My
face
breaks
out
in
a
smile.
I
glide
on
down
to
the
check
stand,
Where
there
is
such
a
long
line.
I
grab
a
book
to
read,
Just
to
pass
the
time.
As
I
read
through
the
pages,
I
cannot
believe
what
I
see.
It
spoke
of
some
strange
man,
Who
lived
and
died
for
me.
I
stand
in
confusion,
So
bewildered
and
perplexed.
I
really
must
get
this
book,
To
see
what
happens
next.
As
I
read
each
chapter,
Verse
after
verse.
I
can
now
see
why,
My
life
keeps
getting
worse.
I
eventually
put
down
the
book,
Feeling
so
tired,
I
look
up
and
sigh.
I
totally
break
down,
And
soon
begin
to
cry.
My
emptiness
and
sadness,
Had
been
filling
me
from
the
start.
I
knew
now
what
I
was
missing,
I
did
not
have
Jesus
in
my
heart.
Today
I
feel
so
completely
fulfilled,
With
happiness
and
content.
And
to
my
amazement,
This
joy
did
not
cost
me
one
cent.

'Blessed
are
those
who
hunger
and
thirst
for
righteousness,
for
they
will
be
filled.'
