Pearly Gates ~
When I reach the pearly gates
I wonder what words I will say
Will I kneel down before Jesus
Or will I just stand and pray.
Will I see my family there
Waiting on the other side
Will I bow my head in shame
Or hold it up with great pride.
Will Jesus welcome me a sinner
With his arms outstretched wide
Will He say for ones like myself
Many tears the Lord has cried.
Yes when that final day comes
Will all my friends also be there
Will we rejoice and celebrate
For the years that we have shared.
Yes when I get to Heaven's door
There be no more hurt or pain
There will be a whole lot of love
For the meek and for the lame.
