~ When The Stars Twinkle ~

One day I sent a prayer to God
for a friend to always love
So God asked His angels up above
And a shy one softly whispered
She would like to be the chosen one.

So she flew down from the heavens
When the stars twinkled in the night
She found me there in prayer
and by the pretty glow
She knew this was the friend
she would like to know

I was then so very happy
when I saw her angel wings
I told her how the Lord protected me
And how I love His beautiful flowers, birds,
and animals of every kind.
I knew she had come to me
because she was gentle, good, divine.

God loved me so much
He gave me the best friend anyone could have
Tonight when the stars twinkle I will smile
about my angel with white wings
I will say thank you to the God who loves me
For giving me my best friend
