Ocean waves
were humming
a gentle lullaby
seagulls stopped to listen
released a gentle sigh
'Pon the sandy shoreline
where footprints once had been
dolphin dreams lay scattered
your dust blown to the wind
Reflections in the water
wave and say goodbye
'morrows seem so distant
washed out with the tide
'Neath the moonlit surface
come whispers of the sea
carried ever softly
'pon the tropic breeze
Embracing all the memories
days of yesteryear
the waters edge now rippled
with my salty tears
Sea foam lines the shoreline
where footprints used to be
buried, gone forever
are days of you and me
