Why can't we all just get along
The way God intended it to be?
Why can't we all just live together
In love, and perfect harmony?
Why can't we help our fellow neighbor
To always rise above the falls?
Why can't we be that shining spirit
Without prejudice or walls?
Why can't this nation be as one,
No matter what the reason?
Why can't we all just be that light
Through every time, and season?
Why can't we live each day with love
Toward each other, everyday?
Why don't we take the time to say
"I care for you in every way"?
It matters not who may cross our path
In a day, and hour, or many years
Just give a smile or helping hand
For you may dry so many tears
Why can't society as a whole
See past this world as it's become?
For all to have a better life here
We all must live as one!
