Will you take my love as a whisper
And let it soothe your heart?
Will you listen while its softness
Calms every hurting part?

Will you take my love as a blanket
And wrap it round your soul?
Will you let its warmth and comfort
Begin to make you whole?

Will you take my love as a raindrop
And let it quench your thirst?
Will you wade out in my water
Until you are immersed?

Will you take my love as an armor
To gird yourself 'gainst strife?
Will you wear it as a mantle
To help you through this life?

Will you take my love?
