~ Winter Storm ~
Now that the storm has gone over
Oh, how the world outside does glitter
With strands of thick icicles hanging
And the chill of the wind, oh so bitter.
Mother Nature strikes again with her fury
Some innocent lives have been lost
My prayers are with all of their families
The ones who will suffer and pay the cost.
Oh, how can nature be ever so cruel
And strike with such horrendous force
I wonder at times, what she is thinking
When she sets her sites on a course
I don't know how many have died
The last count I heard there were thirty
I hope they've all gone to a better place
Where there will be peace through all
