When your life has been so weary
And your dreams just vanish away
There's someone standing near you
Waiting to hear you pray

He wants you to know prayer changes things
Your hope is to be placed in Him
Open wide the door of your heart
He's been wanting so much to come in

But He is a gentleman after all
And never forces His way in
If it's, to be free, you want
He'll take away every sin

But it's all up to you dear friend
To choose or refuse Him today
And only destruction awaits you
If you were to turn Him away
