The August moon shining so bright
High in the sky it is a beautiful sight
Casting moonbeams over the sea
God's moon shines for you and me.

The August moonlight shines with pride
This glowing light only God can provide
Making our hearts warm, never cold
Lord, the August moon is pure gold.

Praying on the beach in quiet solitude
As the ocean waves sound so subdued
We can feel God's love forevermore
As the August moon shines on the shore.
