~ Aurora's Embers ~
Smoldering embers of her heart
Still burn with love, so true…
Blazing in the Roman dawn,
And shining in the dew...
To love a mortal was her doom,
She brought him to her side…
When his heart could beat no more,
Like rain, her tears were cried.
To this day, her love remains-
It never will depart,
Every dawn, her tears still come,
The embers of her heart…

Heroes of the Heart
Aurora, the mythical goddess of the dawn, fell in love with a mortal, Tithonus. What she failed to remember was, that Tithosnus would grow old. Great sorrow came from her union with a mortal. Her tears still flow and may be seen in the early morning in the form of dew-drops on the grass.
