~ Just Let Me Be With Him ~
Wouldn't you like to be like Him?
So pure and full of love
So powerful and almighty
Yet as gentle as a dove
Wouldn't you like to have walked on earth,
When He was here among men?
He walked on the Sea of Galilee
I'd like to have been with Him then
Oh I wish I could have been there too
When He ordered the sea to be calm
And I'd like to have seen Him baptized
In the river of Jordan, by John
When the spirit of God descended
on Him, in the form of a dove
And all of heaven rejoiced that day
Because of God's great love
When He blessed the little children
And bid them come unto Him
What a loving sight to see
I wish I'd been there then
But though I was not a witness to these
I have a witness so real
Because He purchased a mansion for me
On that old rugged cross on the hill
My sin I had to lay down myself
By choosing to be born again
But now He has forgiven me
Soon, I shall be with Him then
