~ Cherish ~
Some see love
floating
elusively
Upon a silver
moon
Some see love as
a secret glance
Across a
darkened room
Some see love
only in the
chosen
Who find its
mysterious place
Hidden from all
others
Who crave it's
blessed face
Some see love as
a golden dream
A treasure,
falling from
unknowns
Landing on the
unwary
Who somehow find
someone to own
Some see it on
the battlefield
Where a soul
will sacrifice
A deep pain
buried in a
grave
From the giving
of a life
Some see love
drifting high on
mountaintops
Or deep in
valley's river
flow
An unseen force
blowing as it
will
To those who
somehow know
Yes, love has
many wondrous
facets to behold
But it's
perfection is
only in our
precious Lord
The giving of
His life for you
and me
That is the love
to cherish most
of all

No other
devotion is as
Christ's love
~ undying and
everlasting ~
death may
separate us from
others for a
time,
but the soul's
union with
Christ is not
dissolved
by anything:
time, distance
or the grave.
The day of a
believer's death
is his marriage
day,
the day of full
enjoyment of our
lovely Lord
Jesus.
No other can say
to us,
what He whispers
moment by
moment,
"I will never
leave you, nor
forsake you"
John Flavel
