~ A
Christmas
Never
Forgotten ~
Many years
ago, when I was
still a teen
I had a
Christmas I
wish had never
been
In a city all
alone, with no
one to share
A room, if you
can imagine, so
totally bare
No family or
friends, all by
myself
Only a can of
beans on my
food shelf
A book and not
the bible was
all I had
The weather
was miserable
all was so sad
Everyone I
knew had
families to be
with
Tears
streaming down,
alone I did
sit
I tell you the
truth, I will
not tell a lie
On that day
all I wanted
to do was die
Now years
later I think
of that day
Wondering what
I can do for
others, okay
The Lord did
help me get
through it
alone
I am very
blessed to now
have a home
So as the
prayer says to
do what you
can
Help a person
who by
themselves
can't stand
Invite them in
for a meal and
a prayer
Show them that
God knows they
are there
Christmas is a
time to
celebrate His
coming
The words that
He taught was
that of loving
To share your
wealth as
little as it
may be
Make someone's
Christmas a
time to
believe
Just a little
charity for
someone all
alone
Can go a long
way to help
them be reborn
Learn that
God's spirit
is one that is
true
Share your
belief and
love with
someone new
Merry
Christmas to
all of you is
my wish
That you put
out for a
stranger a
spare dish
Don't let them
have one that
I did endure
Show them your
belief in God
is really pure
