~ Crying Over You ~

You're the hurt that's in my heart
The sadness in every song
The sorrow written on my face
And the dreams that all went wrong

The memories of the beginning
Are all etched upon my heart
How did love just slip away?
What's the reason, when the start?

Just for you I wrote a song
With blue notes in every line
When I try to sing that song
Tears start falling every time

I tried to write a poem for you
But the lines don't seem to rhyme
I can never find my way again
For the road is too hard to climb

Too many sleepless nights for me
Now I know what I must do
I'll cry and cry 'til the river runs dry
And then I'll forget about you
