Thank you for giving us this Thanksgiving day
Thank you for the beauty of the earth
Hide us from evil and protect us from sin
Thank You for the birds and trees
The beautiful swans
Upon the lake we see
Divine Jesus,
Thank You for the first Thanksgiving day
When Indians shared corn, pumpkin pies
And tomato as our friends
In the love of peace back then-
Jesus, give us freedom once again
Divine Jesus,
This is our Thanksgiving prayer
We give thanks for Your love
For every child You made to
Reflect God's Glory for all to see
Thank You Dear Jesus for holding to our hands
Celebrating with You is a wonder
For we are not worthy in any way
Only let us kiss Your dear feet
On this Thanksgiving day
