Today
you may be feeling
So
burdened down with care,
With the many heart breaks every day
Too
much, for one to bear.
You
may be wishing for soft comfort
Some
release from this darkest night,
The
pressure now too heavy
As
you search for the dawning light.
For
too long you have wept now
Your eyes unable to be dry,
As
you wonder in bewilderment
How
much longer you could cry.
You
feel your strength is now all spent
As
you plead the more for rest,
Just
one little word of comfort
Would
ease the sore distress.
Yet, if only I could whisper in my
care
A
word to ease some of your fear,
If
I might just send a hug I would
To
make the way more clear.
But,
I don't have the resources, nor the
skill
Helpless, so what can I then do,
But ask at our Father's throne of
grace
For the gift of His mighty, loving
self to unfold
All beautiful, to shower down,
Just for you.
For in
thee, O Lord, do I hope: thou wilt
hear,
O Lord my God.
“Through
life we suffer.
Through friends we never have to
suffer alone.”
