Along a trail of starlight
My eyes skimming the sky
Like a stone across black pond
I feel that God is nigh

I have no need of treasures
Night's jewelry suits me fine
The simplest of pleasures
Are both sacred and divine

Orion, up there tryin'
To loosen his great girdle
Too much milk at Milky Way
I hope it doesn't curdle

Little Dipper, upside down
Is pouring out more stars
Crescent moon, slight sideways frown
Keeps watch o'er fiesty Mars

A shooting star -- make a wish
No need, God knows my heart
There's the spoon and the dish
Now, what about cow's part

The cat, his fiddle playing
A fanciful, feline tune
As all the while I'm waiting
For cow to jump over the moon

Oh, what a night for dreaming
Wishing on bright stars above
Moon smiling now, he's beaming
Everywhere, I feel God's love
