I felt a love upon my cheek
A flutter on the breeze
I heard it whisper as it fell
With something special to believe

I knew it came, a symbol
From days, I cherished, true
I knew it was of treasure
For I knew it spoke of you

'Twas only but a feather
But, as I plucked it from the sand
I knew that God had sent it
To remind me of my Dad

A token of your gift of life
A soft and tender place to be
To remember your protecting warmth
This, forever mine, to keep
