I want to go
out dancing tonight
I want to be
able to hear the beat
I want to twirl
around and around
I don't plan to
stay in my seat.
I want to hear
the bands play
I want to hear
the trumpets blare
I want to hear
the beat of the drums
I want the wind
to blow through my hair.
I want to see
the city lights
I want to go
where the music beckons me
I want to dance
all night long
I want to be
set free.
But I can't do
any of these things
My eyes will
not let me see
And my ears
will not let me hear a sound
These
afflictions are hindering me.
But I can feel
the beat of the music
And I can feel
the heat from the lights
I can feel the
music flow through my veins
Even though to
me it's always night.
I can dance and
I will show you how
Just take me by
the hand
Lead me to
where the music is
And we'll dance
all night to a wonderful band.
