How come, why is it always so special
The keeping of a really good friend,
One easy to love
That stays close to the end.

Maybe 'cause there's little that lasts
So much fades away,
Even friends who are treasured
Can't promise to stay.

For life always changes
And we have to adjust,
When our heart hurts some more
How do we let go and just trust

But I found this sweet secret
To tuck deep down inside,
All, that is really for keeps
Our God will provide.

So, if we're in Him
Then all the best will forever stay,
For all that is of lasting love
Will be coming our way.

So dear friend of my heart
My gift of Gods love,
We're in this for always
Together for now
And forever above.
