Friendships
Begin
Friendships begin with little fanfare.
An e-mail from here; a reply from there.
Odd bits of information to slowly share,
And before you know it, we seem to care.
True, it is only words that we can send.
Words that help our troubles to mend.
We find that on each other we do depend.
Suddenly, we realize we've met a friend.
A friend we hope will always be true.
How this happens we haven't a clue.
Two souls so far apart, me and you,
With a friendship that's still quite new.
