I don't want to close my eyes
To miss another gentle touch of you,
Must you leave me
For all you have to do
I don't want to turn away
And not gaze within your eyes,
To drink of the tender love
That is forever mine.
I don't want to close my eyes
To rest myself in sleep,
For I need to hold your hand
And run my finger down your cheek.
I don't want to miss another moment
The loveliness divine,
Of holding you in my heart
My precious Valentine.

Quiet in the night,
shadowed figures dance, bowed heads touching
Silent whispers echo through the mind,
soft kisses placed
Silhouettes of loves embrace joined at the heart,
never to part
~Unknown~
The face is the mirror of the mind, and eyes without
speaking,
confess the secrets of the heart.
~Saint Jerome (342 AD - 420 AD)~
Today I begin to understand what love
must be,
When we are parted, we each feel the lack of the other
half of ourselves.
We are incomplete like a book in two volumes of which
the first has been lost.
That is what I imagine eternal love to be: incompleteness in absence.
~Goncourt~
