~ God's Friendship Fence
~
As friends we are like little birds
who chirp across the fence,
we catch up on all the "why's"
and "what has happened since?"
The morning glory of your heart
keeps blooming all the time,
I have to say it's gentle vine
has wrapped round this heart of mine.
We help each other spread our wings,
and try our best to fly,
sometimes we flutter to the ground,
only to give it another try!
So, thank you, gentle friend of mine,
for helping me to see
that friends are one of God's great gifts,
and he gave you to me!
