Don't we all just love the pleasures
O' Saint Patrick day to say
Thank God for the folk o' Irish land
Where the welcome's warm always

And hearts are filled to overflowin'
With some good ol' country charm
Their friendliness extended
Like a lovin' granny's arms

The atmosphere somehow
Exhumin' a gentle calm
In a pleasant order o' routine
How things are always done

With a quiet understandin'
And endurin' faith that remains the same
Simple pleasures o' a pure delight
Like sunrise and a good ol' soakin' rain

Blue skies for birds to soar on high
A concert with the hens a-lay
Abidin' silence o' the darkness
The moon a-glow so far away

Oh it's sure a day to celebrate
O' all the Irish ways
God bless you with a bite to eat 'n more
All o' your sweet livin' born days
