~ Heart to Heart Friends ~

We didn't really mean to
But, we sure did take the time,
So we spent a lot longer,
Than we planned to be on-line.
It was going to be a quick check, but then
So many emails popped in,
Not just one to answer
But from all the dearest friends.

So we just had to keep on clicking
And open every one,
Then before we knew it, be gone,
The morning was all done.
But we know we are addicted
To the nicest folk on-line,
And now we can't bid them a sad goodbye
No matter if we tried.



So we may as well get comfy
And calmly accept it as a fact,
That we've found our cozy niche
And the clock won't be turning back.
On all these good friends
For though we may never visit,
They are here for us always
Heart to heart friends every minute.

For without each other just admit it
We would feel quite alone
Like all the years we had waited
To get a letter or rings from the telephone.
But emailing we hail
For we can do all sorts of chores between
And click to send
Faster than any antique snail mail.



Don't we have such delightful fun
Sending heavenly love and a favorite pun,
When we see the pop-up MAIL
We wonder
Oh, who's sent me another special one.
