you listen very
closely
If you stay deeply
hushed,
You can hear the
gentle rhapsody
The tender sighs of
God.
When you look into
a baby's eyes
What do you softly
hear,
If you pause to
listen
The sighs are very
near.
If you gaze into
the morning sky
And feel its
golden glow,
You can hear that
mighty sigh
Crescendo in
echo.
If you reach to
touch a flower
Just listen to
your heart,
You can hear the
sigh inside
That it will
impart.
Go watch a puppy
play
Little ears flying
in the wind,
What does your
heart reply
What of God to
bring.
Then hug a gentle
friend
And pause the
smile to share,
You'll feel it in
your heart
The sigh that
lingers there.
Feel the whisper
of the moonlight
The stars a
twinkling in the
night
Let the feeling
flow
Then let it
go, a heavenly
sigh.
