~ Heaven's Door ~

They suffer silently
and
no one can tell
that they have visited
the gates of hell,

Medicines and therapy
cannot cure
this debilitating disease,
wealth and power
cannot
this demon
appease,

To the caregiver:
work your love, and patience,
keep providing
your daily care,
for
these fragile ones,
deep down inside,
they truly
know that you are there,

Your work is not in vain
God sees and will reward
you,
for tending their pain.
So
know this,
When your loved one
closes their eyes in death,
what a blessing
as their soul doth soar
to meet
their God, their Lord,
and all his angels
at Heaven's Door.
