~ Hopalong Sunshine ~
Hopalong my sunshine
friend
Leap up on your feet,
Leave the night, to face the light,
And all that you will meet.
Wiggle fast that little tail
Toss on your pretty things,
Get into gear from here to there
Leap a little swerve and curve
But, do not sit and stare.
Splash a dash of bubble trouble
Rub-a-dub and then
Have a nibble of a crunch to munch
As you race away to chase
That fleeting little bus.
Keep your ears to the ground
And your nose to the grindstone
To clear the overheads,
Don't ever unlatch the catch
Of the eighteen carrot patch
Where temptation's at it's best.
But do stop the racing clock
When the day is up and went, and over spent
For all that should be done, be done
And you shall be content,
For another day for making hay
Will just be up and gone.
