Something warm, something sweet
I send you for a treat,
Hot chocolate with marshmallows
Is where our hearts will meet.
Come rest a while in from the cold
Pause for now, to tell,
For while you sip and hold it tight
I'll listen very well.
Be warmed, be still
Relax, just let your heart unwind,
Come share your day, whisper away
Forget about the time.
Ah, now the kettle's boiled
The steam is drifting chocolate to you,
Breathe it in, pungent, richly brewed
One marshmallow then, or two
For my friend so true.

“Do not keep alabaster boxes of your love and tenderness
sealed up until your friends are gone.
Fill their lives with sweetness.
Speak approvingly cheery words
while their ears can hear them
and their hearts can be thrilled by them.”
