~ Hurting Hearts ~

Hearts are hurting in this world...
I see evidence everywhere,
So often we too soon forget
to take it to God in prayer.

Satan's claws may squeeze our hearts,
but know God has our soul,
Only we can give away
that part that makes us whole.

I choose to give mine back to you,
God take this pain away....
If not your will, then give me strength
to stand just one more day.

When we are hurt, inside ourselves
from another's unkind actions,
Give me love within my soul,
let that be my reaction.

Heal our hurting hearts, oh Lord,
help us be kind to all,
Knowing it is to you to whom
we can come, and safely fall.
