First let me start my day off right
By offering a prayer to
My Father up above,
"Protect me from all harm
And protect all those that I love,
Forgive my sins,
For I know there are many,
Those of commission and
Those of omission;
Bless me today
And set my path straight,
Help me to reach those
That are lost by planting
A positive seed
So that we may feast from your plate
Our souls to feed,
Bless my friends and family alike,
Take under your wing,
Those little one's in whom you delight;
I place in your care all of
Those who are ill
From diseases over which they have
No control
I ask that you be with those
Who are hurting deep in their soul,
All these things I ask,
If it be thy will.
I do thee extol.
In your blessed Son's name
Amen"
This vow I made today,
To do the best I am able,
To live peaceably with all
As much as I know how,
And when tomorrow comes
I will allay others...
On the morrow, perchance I take my final bow,
I can answer to God honestly,
"I tried to treat others kindly,
I my hand did lend
Not only to strangers,
But to family and friend,
I, your child, have devoted
My life to thee."
