~ I See You Home For Christmas ~

In my dreams, through another's eyes
I see you home for Christmas
With the lovely little Christmas village on the mantle,
That lights up all along the shelf
And a real Christmas tree, standing by itself.

The beautiful garden decoration
With the stable and little people in place
The manger where the baby Jesus lay
The shepherds and the wise men,
Their gift of love to display.

All of us are dressed in our very best
I can see the love in each heart
You have made this dream come true with all the rest
So I can be part of you
As you are a part of me too.

You will delight in the ham, our favorite Christmas meal
The mashed potatoes and the yellow corn
Are some of the things I feel,
I am so happy we all belong
As friends stop in for a visit
You get to enjoy a special time
It is so nice to have you home, for today, so divine.

Then I hear a prayer, I say one too
Thank you Dear Lord for giving me the vision to see
What it would be like, through another's eyes
I thank you for this dream You gave to me
I will always love Christmas together with family.
