Would we somehow
confuse the
little ones
When we know
they start with
such a simple
faith
By our life,
might we show
them a love for
other "things"
Will they
understand what
is truly real or
fake
By our ways,
will they think
that Jesus is
too busy
Like the
disciples who
told them to go
away
Do we let them
know how much
Jesus loves us
And that we are
secure in Him
always
Jesus said, the
faith of a
little child
Is the only way
to enter in
So if we are
confused by the
insecurities of
this world
Will they know
we can be safe
in Him
Do we remember
that a childish
faith
Is what is so
trusting and
complete
That all that
sweet kindness
that they show
Goes such a long
way for all we
really need
May we let the
tender candid
child within us
live
And not crush it
with our daily
care
To keep all that
innocent belief
that we love in
them
Of such faith
beyond compare

The disciples
came to Jesus
and asked,
"Who is the
greatest in the
kingdom of
heaven?"
He called a
little child and
had him stand
among them.
And he said: "I
tell you the
truth, unless
you change
and become like
little children,
you will never
enter the
kingdom of
heaven.
Therefore,
whoever humbles
himself
like this child
is the greatest
in the kingdom
of heaven.
And whoever
welcomes a
little child
like this in my
name welcomes
me.
"See that you do
not look down on
one of these
little ones.
For I tell you
that their
angels in heaven
always see the
face of my
Father in
heaven.

18:1-5,10
