Long Distance Friendship
With many miles
between us
I've never seen your face
yet, I feel connected
because of things you say
Your kindness gives me sunshine
when days are long and gray
I knew that we'd be bonded
from the start, that day
Your words found ev'ry mornin
come written in a rhyme
loving thoughts of friendship
sent 'cross the many miles
Distance lies between us
and yet our bond is true
my days are full of sunshine
all because of you
One day we'll come together
share laughter, face to face
tears of joy will leapfrog
as our bonds embrace
Although there'll be a shyness
'n nerves will be on edge
hearts 'n smiles will mingle
because we're special friends
